Managing the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials to support the Company operational needs. This role involves coordinating with suppliers, negotiating, and maintaining supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Procurement & Vendor Management: Negotiate product/material costs with suppliers to secure the best price and quality, issue Vendor Questionnaires, and maintain vendor certifications.
  • Order Processing: Prepare and process purchase orders using Sage 200, track deliveries, and ensure all supporting documentation is received for critical materials.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels to avoid overstocking, assist with stocktakes, and liaise with production teams to meet purchasing requirements.
  • General Administration: Provide administrative support, manage 3rd party contractors, and maintain an organized work environment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Adhere to company health and safety policies, challenge unsafe acts, and contribute to a positive QHSE culture.

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualifications: SCQF Level 8-9 (HND, Technical Apprenticeship, or Bachelor’s Degree) in supply chain management or a related discipline. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
  • Experience: Preferably, you have experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment, purchasing, vendor management, and using Sage 200 manufacturing.
  • Skills: Strong communication and negotiation skills, attention to detail, task management, and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Personal Qualities: We need someone enthusiastic, committed, and a fast learner who can work independently as well as in a team.
