We are seeking an exceptional Bar Supervisorto join Claridges Restaurant at Claridges.

Since the 1850s, Claridges has excelled at the finer things in life: glamorous design, inspiring dining, impeccable service. There are many 5-star hotels in London but nowhere quite like Claridges. The hotel is a unique combination of splendour and charm with long-standing connections with royalty that have led to it sometimes being referred to as annexe to Buckingham Palace. Claridges has a famous all-day dining and Afternoon Tea restaurant the Foyer & Reading Room, LEpicerie that offers a culinary theatre of the kitchen, and three bars: Claridges Bar, the intimate Fumoir and effortlessly elegant Painters Room.

As a Bar Supervisoryou will be responsible for:

  • The seamless running of the bar in Claridges Restaurant, including ensuring that all our standards are met by the team.
  • As a senior member of the team you will lead by example and manage our Floor team, ensuring that their development needs are met.
  • To be able to train the team for the LQA/Forbes standards and ensure that the team and consistently delivering the standards and providing a warm and personal service to our guests.
  • Creating memorable experiences for our guests, simultaneously ensuring that service is prompt and professional.
  • Handling complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensuring that licensing laws, health and safety legislation is adhered to.

Successful candidates for our Bar Supervisoropportunity will:

  • Demonstrate genuine dedication to Claridges and show a commitment to consistent quality in our product and service.
  • Provide intuitive service, with absolute understanding of our guests needs to create exceptional service experiences, that result in lasting memories
  • Be motivated, creative and have worked in a similar role, within hospitality.
  • Be fluent in spoken and written English.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a pressured environment with the most demanding guests.
  • Have exceptional product knowledge in regards to Spirits, Wines and Champagnes and a thorough understanding of industry trends and developments.
