Our client, a start-up disruptor in the Fintech space, is seeking a highly skilled HFT Java Developer for a fully remote position within Europe. This role involves contributing to a next-generation investment platform for investors. We are looking for a Software Engineer with over 5 years of experience, exceptional proficiency in core Java, and significant experience in low latency, high throughput distributed systems.

The successful candidate will work on high frequency, low latency trading systems, alongside order management and pre- and post-trade risk management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain high-frequency trading infrastructure, including order management systems, pre- and post-trade risk management systems, and liquidity venue connectors.
- Optimize latency and throughput for trading systems.
- Implement automated market-neutral strategies, combining on-chain and off-chain methods for mid to high-frequency trading.
- Develop margining and liquidation logic for margin lending services.
Requirements:
- Over 5 years of back-end engineering experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Java or another JVM language.
- Strong expertise in building low latency, high throughput distributed systems.
- Experience with trading strategies and latency-sensitive components of trading systems, such as exchange integration, order management systems, market data, and OTC/RFQ.
- Strong commitment to code quality and familiarity with DDD and TDD.
- Open-mindedness, quick learning ability, and a strong drive to tackle challenging and ambiguous problems.
- Willingness to work longer hours typical of start-ups.
Remuneration:
- Competitive salary ranging from £70k to £200k, plus a generous stock options package.
Remote working/work at home options are available for this role.
