About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer with expertise in the Wynsure platform to oversee a pivotal project for one of our major clients in the insurance sector.
The ideal candidate will possess 5-6 years of experience in software development, responsible for creating specifications, coding, debugging, documenting, and deploying moderately complex software applications while also maintaining existing systems.
The role involves developing, modifying, and sustaining applications tailored for both internal and external clients, while actively participating in design and coding tasks alongside team members and supervisors.
Technical Expertise Required:
The candidate should have a strong technical background with experience in the Wynsure Product, encompassing both technical and functional knowledge.
- Proficient in coding based on outlined system requirements.
- Hands-on experience in building applications using React, Redux, Bootstrap, CSS3, preprocessors, Node.js, Express.js, JEST, and other supporting libraries.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented JavaScript and design patterns.
- Expertise in JavaScript is essential.
Specialization Areas:
- Customization: Enhancing or developing new functionalities in existing or new applications/modules.
- Experience with storybook and server-side scripting.
- Familiarity with version control systems such as GIT.
- Programming will constitute 70% of the job responsibilities.
- Understanding business or technical requirements and translating them into code using Wyde tools (eWAM).
- Application Design: Applying knowledge of Wynsure's Object-Oriented architecture to analyze and design significant developments (15% of job responsibilities).
- Conducting React automation testing and debugging code to resolve issues.
Process Skills:
- Ability to work independently as an individual contributor.
- Support customers on both business and technical levels.
- Documenting system and code modifications.
- Identifying and resolving issues in current applications.
- Providing explanations of application usage to end users and other developers, including documentation generation.
- Articulating application architecture to technical experts and developers.
- Assisting in creating and presenting demos for sales at customer locations.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional attention to detail is required.
