Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the operational management of our print, mailing, voting, and response handling specialist services. As a senior-level role, the General Manager will be responsible for leading a team of 3 direct reports and providing direction and support to a wider team of 20 employees. This role will involve close collaboration with the two owners of the company, one responsible for sales and the other for finance.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead and manage the team of 3 direct reports, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional development.
  • Collaborate with the sales and finance heads to align business strategies, goals, and objectives across departments.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline processes and enhance productivity.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to track business performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and ensure that services provided meet or exceed their expectations.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion, and work with the owners to develop and implement strategic plans.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all aspects of the business operations.


Qualifications and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a senior management role, with a minimum of 5 years in operational management.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organisation.
  • Solid understanding of financial management and budgeting.
  • Experience in the print, mailing, or voting industry is a plus.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and achieving operational efficiency.
