I'm currently looking to recruit a Head Sushi Chef on behalf of my client, a prestigious and high-volume restaurant in Edinburgh.
Responsibilities:- Recruit and retain the best talent on the market- Design and implement the restaurant kitchens policies and procedures- Develop, design, and implement new menus in collaboration with the Executive Chef- Train, motivate, and lead your team to produce their best work- Promote a positive work environment- Maintain food hygiene and sanitation standards- Ensure the highest levels of food quality are maintained- Manage department budgets to maximize profit while maintaining guest and employee satisfaction- Collaborate with all heads of departments to ensure a successful restaurant operation
Requirements:- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving skills- Natural leadership skills- Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities- Sophisticated communication skills- Ability to train others with patience and confidence- Previous experience in sushi production or similar cuisine in high-end, high-volume restaurants- At least three years of previous management experience- A positive mindset- A genuine passion for working in hospitality
