As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in assessing credit risk, analyzing lending portfolios, and implementing data-driven strategies to optimize our lending practices. Your expertise in SQL code, coupled with a desire to learn Python scripting, will be instrumental in uncovering insights from large datasets and enhancing our analytical capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Credit Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive analyses of credit applications, evaluating factors such as credit history, income, and debt-to-income ratios to assess creditworthiness.
  2. Data Management: Utilize SQL code to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from diverse sources, including transactional databases and external data providers.
  3. Predictive Modeling: Collaborate with data scientists to develop predictive models for credit risk assessment, leveraging Python scripting for data preprocessing, modelling, and evaluation.
  4. Portfolio Management: Monitor and analyze the performance of lending portfolios, identifying trends and potential areas of risk or opportunity.
  5. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including risk management, finance, and technology, to implement data-driven solutions and drive business outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Credit Analyst, preferably in unsecured and/or retail lending environments.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL code for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis; experience with Python scripting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of statistical modeling techniques and predictive analytics for credit risk assessment.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
