About the Pub

The Anchor enjoys prominent position within a residential area on a busy main road and therefore also benefits from plenty of passing trade. With a modern décor, the trade area consists of a central main bar servery with two adjoining rooms and has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The larger room has three separate entrances; one to the smoker’s area, one to the beer garden and another to the lobby. The trade area is on two levels with seating for approximately 42 in the lounge area. In addition, there is a pool table, jukebox, games machine and television for the sports enthusiasts. The trade kitchen is basic, yet perfectly capable of being developed to support a simple menu. Live bands and entertainment have proven successful in the past and reviving this arm of the business would provide a boost to trade. To the rear of the pub is a beer garden laid to lawn and with paved pathways. There is a good sized tarmac car park to the rear of the property with space for approximately 15 vehicles and an additional outside area to the front. The opportunity for food is essential to grow sales here.

The Anchor is located on the A603, Cardigton Road within Fenlake in Bedford, surrounded by a large residential area and with a small number of offices and light business units.
