We are working with a private company in the private/independent Healthcare space looking for a new leader to help develop and progress a current site.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to the ophthalmology department, setting clinical goals, and promoting a culture of excellence in patient care.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop strategic plans and initiatives for departmental growth and success.
- Oversee and direct all clinical operations, including patient consultations, surgical procedures, and post-operative care, ensuring adherence to best practices and safety standards.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment that encourages research, continuous learning, and the adoption of new technologies and treatments.
- Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to maintain the highest level of patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Lead the recruitment, training, and professional development of Doctors and supporting staff to build a highly competent and cohesive team.
- Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, professional standards, and legal guidelines relevant to ophthalmology practice.
- Collaborate with the administrative team to optimise resource allocation, manage budgets, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Represent the organisation in professional and community engagements, promoting the ophthalmology department's expertise and reputation.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in ophthalmology, ensuring the integration of evidence-based practices and cutting-edge treatments.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Medical degree (MD)
- GMC Registration
- Extensive experience as an ophthalmologist, with a proven track record of clinical excellence and leadership.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration among diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing clinical operations and ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Sound knowledge of industry regulations, accreditation, and compliance requirements.
- Dedication to patient-centred care, patient safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor clinical professionals to achieve their full potential.
- Commitment to professional development and staying current with advancements in ophthalmology.
