A bit about what you will do...
The Assistant Maintenance Manager in our stylish hotel leads from the front and takes a proactive, hands-on approach, overseeing all aspects of maintenance operations, ensuring the highest standards are maintained throughout, creating a welcoming and safe environment that consistently exceeds guests expectations.
- Lead and coordinate the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services.
- Participate in the preparation of the annual departmental operating budget and financial plans.
- Monitor budget and control expenses with a focus on energy management, preventive maintenance, and capital planning.
- Lead hotel renovations and other projects, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely completion within budget.
- Manage Health & Safety, including statutory compliance, risk assessment, permits to work and safe working practices.
- Address any guest concerns promptly, attentively and efficiently.
- Liaise closely with other hotel departments and wider management team to support the continual improvement of property maintenance standards.
- Maintain and order parts and supplies in a timely and efficient manner while minimising waste and supporting green initiatives.
- Act as property leader for the brands Green Engage program.
- Coach, train, and support the team to provide consistently high standards while continually looking to improve.

- Recognised electrical or engineering qualification and specialised expertise in plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry fields.
- Strong knowledge of the operation, control and maintenance of building services plant and systems.
- Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices.
- High standard of English, both written and spoken.
