You will also chip in across other areas of the visitors centre during busy periods such as the reception area and gift shop.This is a Seasonal Fixed term contract position, starting 20th May 2024.

Your contract will finish in October however this can be flexed to suit students returning to studies in September if needed.

About the roleAs an ambassador to Drax, you’ll be projecting the Drax brand image to our visitors.  Meeting all visitors and warmly welcome them to Cruachan placing the customer first.You’ll be supporting and dealing with customer issues efficiently and effectively as well as maintaining our cafe bookings via diary systems.Your training will be provided, and you’ll be on hand to answer any questions and queries from visitors.Above all you’ll be ensuring the safety and welfare of visitors whilst in the visitor centre and ensuring they have a fantastic experience here at Cruachan.Your working hours will be 10am-4pm Monday – Friday.About YouYou’ll have a fantastic “can do” attitude with a positive energy to ensure the Visitor Centre is run to a high standard – plus be enthusiastic and engaging with all who visit our centre.You’ll have prior experience in a customer facing role within the service / tourism industry, working within a team environment.You’ll be able to demonstrate excellent verbal communication and people skills, with a genuine belief in the value of exceptional customer service.

Ideally, you’ll be computer literate as you will be operating our in-house system and have prior experience with cash handling and recording, including calculating daily floats.

You’ll certainly be flexible in adapting to different situations, with the ability to prioritise and to take the initiative.

It will be essential that you are able to attend site via your own means of transport as our Cruachan site does not have strong public transport links, and you'll need to be 18 or over on your start date.About DraxDrax is playing a vital role in changing the way we generate, supply and use energy.
