This role requires a highly motivated and expert level Backup & Storage Engineer to join adynamic and internationally set IT team. ???????? The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of the latest version of NetBackup (v10 or newer), extensive experience with EMC/Dell Data Domain and NetApp systems, and a passion for ensuring data integrity and availability within large, enterprise-grade environments. ????????
Key Responsibilities:
- ???? Design and Implement Storage Solutions: Architect, deploy, and manage storage and backup solutions with a focus on NetApp and NetBackup technologies.
- ???? Infrastructure Monitoring: Continuously monitor and maintain storage infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and reliability.
- ???? Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning, reporting, and monitoring to ensure scalability and efficiency.
- ???? Disaster Recovery Support: Provide expertise in disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring data protection and business continuity.
- Cloud Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
- ???? Compliance and Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation and ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards.
- ???? Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve storage-related issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain service levels.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- ???? NetBackup Expertise: Proficiency in using the latest versions of NetBackup (v10 or newer is mandatory).
- ???? Dell Data Domain Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Dell Data Domain systems, including configuration, management, and performance tuning.
- ???? Scripting Skills: Strong scripting abilities in languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
- ???? Backup and Recovery Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of backup and recovery processes, strategies, and best practices.
- ???? System Administration: Solid background in system administration across Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
