Senior Backup & Storage Engineer/ NetBackup Expert

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backup & Storage Engineer/ NetBackup Expert to join our team at Intelix. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust and scalable data protection infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data protection solutions using NetBackup and other technologies.
  • Monitor and maintain storage infrastructure to ensure high availability, optimal performance, and reliability.
  • Conduct capacity planning, reporting, and monitoring to ensure scalability and efficiency.
  • Provide expertise in disaster recovery planning and execution, ensuring data protection and business continuity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate storage solutions with cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
  • Hands-on experience with Dell Data Domain systems, including configuration, management, and performance tuning.
  • Strong scripting abilities in languages such as Python, Shell, or Perl.
  • Solid background in system administration across Windows, Linux, and Unix operating systems.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex backup and data recovery issues.
  • Expertise in optimizing backup performance and managing large datasets efficiently.
  • Knowledge of data security protocols and compliance requirements in backup solutions.

Requirements:

  • Expert-level knowledge of the latest version of NetBackup (v10 or newer).
  • Extensive experience with EMC/Dell Data Domain and NetApp systems.
  • Passion for ensuring data integrity and availability within large, enterprise-grade environments.
  • Relevant certifications in NetBackup, system administration, or related fields are highly desirable.
