HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.

We are seeking a Product Designer / Product Design Engineer to join a renowned outdoor and marine equipment manufacturer near Exeter. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Product Design and some industry experience, either in a product design role or with a design consultancy.

Duties and responsibilities of the Product Design Engineer:

Conduct research, design, prototyping, and testing of product ideas
Create product designs using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and estimate tooling costs
Produce renders and animations for the marketing team
Develop sketches, detailed development work, and design documentation

Qualifications and requirement for the Product Design Engineer:

Degree in Product Design or Computer-Aided Design
Background as a Product Designer, Product Design Engineer, or in a similar role
Proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks
Ability to commute to or relocate to Exeter
