HSB Technical Ltd is a specialist recruiter within the Power & Propulsion, Shipbuilding, Shipping & Energy and Aerospace sectors. We have a number of permanent and contract vacancies for multiple businesses across the UK and overseas.
We are seeking a Product Designer / Product Design Engineer to join a renowned outdoor and marine equipment manufacturer near Exeter.The ideal candidate will have a degree in Product Design and some industry experience, either in a product design role or with a design consultancy.
Duties and responsibilities of the Product Design Engineer:
* Conduct research, design, prototyping, and testing of product ideas
* Create product designs using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks)
* Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and estimate tooling costs
* Produce renders and animations for the marketing team
* Develop sketches, detailed development work, and design documentation
Qualifications and requirement for the Product Design Engineer:
* Degree in Product Design or Computer-Aided Design
* Background as a Product Designer, Product Design Engineer, or in a similar role
* Proficiency in 3D CAD, ideally SolidWorks
* Ability to commute to or relocate to Exeter
