Job Description:
Hill McGlynn Recruitment is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team in Folkestone. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contractual dealings with clients, with a focus on maximizing profits and resolving disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost management, contract administration, and financial reporting.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication and negotiation to maximize profits.
- Handle contractual disputes and provide expert advice on resolution strategies.
- Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong understanding of contractual dealings and dispute resolution.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
