Job Description:

Hill McGlynn Recruitment is seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s team in Folkestone. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in contractual dealings with clients, with a focus on maximizing profits and resolving disputes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of quantity surveying, including cost management, contract administration, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring effective communication and negotiation to maximize profits.
  • Handle contractual disputes and provide expert advice on resolution strategies.
  • Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, budgets, bills of quantities, and other documentation.
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with a strong understanding of contractual dealings and dispute resolution.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
  • Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
