About The Role
As our Catering Administrator, you willprovide primary support to the Catering team and will ensure continuous improvement and that existing administrative support, and that services and systems are effective and responsive. Within the role you will be managing administrative systems, maintaining records, updating allergen information, and supporting finance and procurement processes. You will assist the Head Chef and Catering Manager with various tasks, including event coordination, supplier communication and project support. Responsibilities also include maintaining the department's online presence and coordinating vehicle services. Flexibility to work across locations is required.
About You
You will be an experienced and proactive administrator, with a qualification in business administration (NVQ level 3 or equivalent) and strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office. You will have recent administrative and customer-facing experience, basic finance knowledge, excellent communication and organisational abilities, and a keen eye for detail. You will be capable of managing workloads under tight deadlines, working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and maintaining effective relationships at all levels. Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and a professional appearance are essential.
Additional Information
You will be expected to gain a working knowledge and understanding of the Facilities and Services activities and priorities and understand the wider University estate function.
