Cargo Account Handler / Broker Back-Up

Salary - Open and Competitive + Attractive Bonus and Benefits

London / Hybrid working - 2 days a week in the office (minimum required)

Your new company is a prestige, leading and international Lloyd's Broker, who have a strong presence within the London Market Insurance. This reputable Lloyd's Broker specialise in offering bespoke insurance and reinsurance solutions to their worldwide partners and clients, and pride themselves in delivering a value added service. Their thriving Marine Cargo Division, now have an exciting position, within their successful team, as a Cargo Broker Support / Account Handler, in a position that consists of working collaboratively with Brokers to assist with the placement of complex Marine Cargo Risks..


Role Requirements


  • Responsible for working closely with Brokers to assist with the placement of risks
  • Producing timely and accurate MRC slips and endorsements
  • Day-to-day interaction with clients and markets
  • Assist with the development of new business and the existing portfolio of clients
  • Identifying renewals with Brokers and sending invitations to clients with renewal presentations
  • Negotiating and liaising with Underwriters
  • Build and maintain relationships with markets and clients


About You


  • You will have 2 years of experience in working for a Lloyd's Broker within a technical position
  • Experienced in Marine Cargo insurance and/or reinsurance
  • Competent in creating market documentation (MRC Slips and Endorsements)
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills
