OVERALL PURPOSE

As Sr. Manager, you will be responsible for positioning our platform, products, and APIs as solutions for industry-specific problems to prospective clients. You will manage all external communications efforts as a key member of the International Marketing team.

You will be the day-to-day lead for earned media, as well as external agencies and the internal team for communications and marketing programs. You will partner closely with product marketing, business development, and corporate comms teams to develop influential content that builds awareness of our company and solutions.

This role is based in our London office.

WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

As our colleague in the International Marketing team, you’ll partner closely with colleagues in Hangzhou, London, New York, Luxembourg, and San Mateo.

PRINCIPAL ELEMENTS & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Develop, align, and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that tells our story and drives our growth.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to understand our products and solutions, and the difference they make for our users. Use this understanding to identify communications and media opportunities and ensure that PingPong’s value comes across in our content.
  • Partner with Business Development and Product Marketing teammates to contribute to the development of collateral and client-facing presentations.
  • Manage external vendors and a network of freelancers to support the development of communications campaigns, bylines, and industry events.
  • Partner with our content marketing team to support our global enterprise-focused newsletter(s) and blog.
  • Design, manage, and optimize our media relations and external relations process for International.
  • Develop and refine our communications KPIs and metrics, and monitor and analyze performance over time, deriving and applying actionable insights to improve content performance and ROI over time.
  • Lead and support communications campaigns across all marketing workstreams, collaborating with stakeholders to deliver programs against key priorities while seizing opportunities for current event-relevant, reactive campaigns, and more.
  • Lead all external media communication launch assets, finalizing materials like press releases, media strategies, spokesperson talking points, and reports.
  • Prepare and staff executive leadership interviews, meetings and speaking opportunities with senior leadership.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key members of the media, across business and niche vertical media, ensuring an earned media expertise is maintained.
  • Oversee all news engine efforts and events, ensuring media impression goals are maintained and activations support telling PingPong’s narrative in the most media-worthy way as possible.
  • Manage communications team budget.

EXPERIENCE

  • 8+ years of public relations experience including 2+ years of agency experience and in-house experience at a B2B fintech brand. Other relevant work experience can span marketing, product marketing, content marketing, or journalism.
  • Familiar with the fintech landscape, and technically savvy (e.g. conceptual understanding of APIs and their role in technology development)
  • Progressive media relations / corporate communication background.
  • Previous experience working at a blend of agencies, and startups.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Educated with a relevant degree in Marketing, Communication or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
