Your key responsibilities:
- To be in charge of the production team and all production runs
- Help to identify staffing needs and help in the hiring process
- Be involved in staff performance reviews
- Help to evaluate new employees and coach existing employees, supporting their development by identifying further training needs
- Help to coordinate non-permanent agency staff
- Be in charge of quality control in production from receiving bulk to finished goods leaving the production room
- Coordinating with other teams, specifically the warehouse team, bulk team and the operations manager to make sure that stock needed is produced in a timely manner
- Be in charge of managing relevant stock numbers (eg unlabelled stock)
- Reporting any issues with machinery and coordinating any servicing and other maintenance works
- Helping to continuously improve all production processes and procedures
- Enforce all relevant safety and quality processing procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with company policies
- Suggest and help implement cost-saving ideas
- Ensure that the escalation procedure for quality concerns is followed
- Ensure all records are completed appropriately according to procedures
- Consistently promote high standards through personal example and roll out through the team so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expected of them
