About the Opportunity:
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking a Senior Manager /Director at their Berkhamsted office who will provide professional accountancy services to their fee-paying clients. As well as supporting the other director responsible for the office, you will work with other senior staff to manage the daily running of the office as well as supporting junior staff in their day-to-day work and be responsible for developing new business.
About the Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Reporting directly to the Board Director assist in the management of the Berkhamsted office by working with other senior staff on a day-to-day basis
Manage a portfolio of clients. Develop strong relationships & identify opportunities to provide additional services where appropriate
Look to convert networking opportunities into new client business
Planning workload for both self and others
Review of financial statements and tax returns
Review work to identify relevant points to raise in client meetings
Responsible for billing, fee reviews and new client quotations
Liaise with clients to assist with queries or request additional information for their accounts and returns ensuring accuracy and statutory deadlines are met at all times
About the Applicant:
The successful candidate will be:
Qualified ACA/ACCA/CTA with at least 6 years experience of working within practice
Able to demonstrate financial management experience and legislative compliance with the ability to interpret relevant legislation to clients
Able to demonstrate the ability to manage a varied portfolio of owner managed businesses in respect of accountancy, taxation & business advice
Experienced in managing a team
Knowledgeable of accounting systems including Sage, QuickBooks & Xero
Able to deliver a high-quality accountancy service to clients with excellent technical knowledge
Strong & empathic communication skills at all levels and with both clients and colleagues.
Experienced in gaining new business
Mobile and flexible to visit clients sites as needed
Good IT skills with the ability to work without close supervision
A people person who is a team player and willing to help at all levels
