THE ROLE 

We're looking for a Junior Editor to join our editorial team to make industry-leading creative materials for the entertainment industry. Your collaborative and intelligent approach to cutting AV marketing materials will drive creativity that is talked about and adds value for our clients.  


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Originate, adapt and cutdown trailers, promos, spots, social, rip reels, EPKs and any other form of AV marketing materials as required across IGN’s entertainment clients.
  • Approach work from interesting angles and find innovative ways to present characters, stories and themes.  
  • Be a critical thinker of work, including your own.
  • Find creative solutions that meet project briefs by collaborating with various teams.
  • A huge desire to make interesting work that has character, style and is distinctive.
  • With support and mentorship, constantly develop your understanding of all areas of editorial and aim to broaden your knowledge of the latest creative and marketing trends.
  • Be able to prioritize your workload in order to hit all deadlines, communicate with all involved of your schedule and update with any changes.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years' experience in an agency, production company, studio or broadcaster.
  • Have examples of your work - either public facing or fan made.  
  • Must be highly proficient in Avid Media Composer, have a working proficiency of Premiere and understanding of Logic.
  • Have excellent communication skills ensuring all correspondence is accurate and within a timely manner.
  • Have a strong understanding of editing techniques, music editing, sound design, plugins and identify how they can elevate a creative. 
  • Understand different forms and structures of short form AV marketing assets and what they are trying to achieve and their purpose.
  • A demonstrable love of cinema and TV.
  • Must really want to make work that other people wish they’d made.
