Nursery Room Leader

As a Room Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the preschool room, ensuring a stimulating and nurturing environment for children aged 0 to 5 years.
This is a full-time and term-time position: 39 weeks per year, 33.45 hours per week (Monday - Friday, 8 am - 6 pm).
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the daily activities within the preschool room.
- Ensure effective use of staff and resources, maintaining high standards of care and education.
- Implement and enhance practices to continuously improve the learning environment.
- Collaborate with management to uphold preschool standards and contribute to staff development.
- Develop and implement curriculum plans that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and foster child-led learning.
To be successful in this Room Leader position, you will:
- Hold a minimum qualification of Level 3 in Childcare (e.g., CWDC Diploma, NNEB, BTEC, NVQ, CACHE).
- Have at least 2 years of post-qualifying experience in a childcare setting, including some senior responsibilities.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Exhibit a positive attitude, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young children.
- Be able to effectively communicate and relate to both children and colleagues.
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years or Childcare.
- At least 2 years in a relevant childcare role with experience in senior responsibilities.
- Understanding of children’s development, EYFS, and safeguarding procedures.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
