We are a small company with BIG ideas.
- Our carers and our clients are our number one PRIORITY- We are one big family and all help each other
- We offer set shift patterns, worked out in collaboration with each employee to allow a work-life balance, and varying shifts; evening, weekend, school hours, etc. Whatever suits.
- Our staff contracts allow our employees to apply for mortgages and loans.
- Block Pay and set shifts allow financial stability
- Automatic enrolment for Blue Light Discount and Training Academy discount schemes for money off days out, Alton towers, pub meals, online shopping and much much more.
- Yearly Support to access TAX REBATE schemes
- We have in-house mental health and well-being support for ALL STAFF
- We offer up to 6.6 weeks holiday a year
- Weekly, no pressure, overtime opportunities to help with those unexpected expenses
- Separate Holiday accrual scheme - access your funds any time
- Free summer holiday childcare support scheme
- Our team are happy in their work, have a regular group of clients and will always help each other out if needed. It is a fabulous team ethic, and I'm not just saying that because I work here.
What we ask in return:
- You must have a genuine desire to want to help people
- You must have a good level of spoken English.
- You must have access to a vehicle
- You should be motivated to enrich peoples lives - we encourage client outings, activities and anything that you and your clients can do for mutual enjoyment - we give you time to do these things too as our minimum call time is 1 hour. From nail painting, to shopping, to pumpkin carving - we have seen it all.
- You must be able to commit to some weekend working (usually one in two so everyone gets to enjoy some down time at weekends)
What is a typical day like with BHC?
- You will already know your shifts as you will be on a set pattern. We never work you outside of the set times without prior agreement. You will have access to the clients you will be attending on your rota a week before so you can catch up on any clients you may not have seen in a while
- You will drive to your calls as per the timings on your rota, we have a standard 15 minute travel time between all calls so you wont be late. We do a minimum call time of an hour, so you will have plenty of time for interacting with your clients once the main tasks are complete.
- We assist clients with personal care, meal preparation,. attending appointments, pet care, medication awareness, gardening, anything to do with running a house really, and the important bit is having some time to spend with them chatting, doing a activity together or getting out and about.
- Have a look on our face book page to see what we have been up to recently
