We are currently recruiting One Female Senior Support Worker/Team Leader to join our team within Winsford.
We Support Limited is an established Supported Living provider dedicated to providing a creative, happy and secure environment for young people with learning disabilities across Cheshire and Trafford. We support young adults (16 - 65) with learning disabilities, using a Positive Behaviour Support Approach.
We currently have 15 home-from-home, each of the homes have their individual staff team of support workers. All our services are 24 hours support services where staff will work with the same person/people each week in the same house to build a strong, trusting and caring relationship.
**We are not a domiciliary care company. Employees will generally work at one location and do not do "house visits" traveling between services*
About the Role of Senior Team Leader:The successful Senior Team Leader leads the operational house team of Support Workers to provide person centred care to young adults with learning disabilities, autism and complex health and social needs. In addition, they will ensure staff have the resources and support to provide the level and quality of service required day to day, plus the ongoing development and continuous improvement of the service. As well as providing direct care and support, the Senior Team Leader is required to act as a mentor and coaching support on key operational tasks for the team. Being visible and accessible is paramount.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience and working within a similar setting.
- NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred).
- Excellent knowledge of Ofsted Quality standards and all relevant laws, regulations and best practices in the field.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of working as a support worker with young adults with learning disabilities and complex needs who can demonstrate challenging behaviours; minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Strong experience of managing a staff team; training staff within a care setting minimum of 1 year experience.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, ability to write and maintain reports; support programmes, activity plans and keep a record of petty cash.
- The ability to record and communicate with parents/staff/other professionals; collaborate with a team of professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals
- Flexible approach providing additional support to the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager; quality assurance checks.
- The ability to promote a safe and inclusive environment for all individuals.
- Provide support and assistance to individuals with learning disabilities; assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically being flexible and adaptable to meet the changing needs of individuals.
- Full clean UK driving licence is required and use of your own vehicles with business use insurance (essential).
