Year 4 Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

We are seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for Year 4 to join our team. In this role, you will take small groups of students for focused sessions in reading, writing, and phonics, ensuring that each child receives the support they need to succeed. You will play an essential role in helping students develop foundational skills, maintain good behavior in the classroom, and assist with overall class responsibilities. This is a rewarding role for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to making a difference in primary education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead small group sessions in reading, writing, and phonics to boost student understanding and confidence.
  • Support the class teacher in managing behaviour, and creating a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Assist in planning and delivering lessons, providing targeted help to students as needed.
  • Carry out general TA duties, such as preparing resources, supporting classroom activities, and attending to individual student needs.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a UK primary school is essential.
  • Strong background working with KS1 and KS2 students, with a deep understanding of their learning needs.
  • A positive, proactive attitude and a commitment to fostering a nurturing learning atmosphere.
