FORTREA IN LEEDS - WHERE BREAKTHROUGHS BEGIN
Fortrea's cutting-edge Clinical Research Unit in Leeds is the crown jewel of our global operations. This state-of-the-art, 65,000 ft² facility with 100 beds is just a 7-minute walk from the train station. Dedicated to Phase I clinical trials, it’s where life-saving medicines begin their journey.
You’ll be part of a team that asks one crucial question: will this new medicine be safe? Every day, you'll witness groundbreaking research in action. And when a drug you've worked on is approved, you'll know you've helped change lives across the globe.
As a result of our expansion, we are implementing a new team structure, this is why we are hiring our first Clinical Trials Volunteer Recruitment Call Centre Manager to provide leadership, training and coaching to our Recruitment Call Center team.
  • This is a full-time, clinic-based job in Drapers Yard, Leeds.
  • 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday (weekends may be required, although infrequently)

We will trust you to drive the Fortrea UK Call Center team.
This team build and maintain Fortrea´s participants database of healthy volunteers and patients for our clinical trials. They screen them to assess their suitability and identify the right trial opportunity for each potential participant.
In this job, your impact will be felt from day 1: the success of the clinic relies on the recruitment success. We need the right participant assigned to the right study, no mistakes, and fast.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Your role will be crucial in embodying and instilling our values, ensuring that they guide your team´s day-to-day execution. Align goals and behaviors to execute the CPS strategy effectively.

Team Leadership
In your hands is the mission to build an impactful team and your success will be their success.
  • Reporting directly to you, you will oversee a varied team of 10+ people, including supervisors, agents and coordinators.

  • We´ll trust you to provide strategic direction, leadership and perform full-cycle performance management (including recruitment, on-boarding, goal setting, managing KPIs, performance discussions, development and career progression, discipline conversations when needed.)

Contribute expertise to win new business
You will be required to represent Fortrea at client meetings and will contribute your expertise developing solutions that help win new business and supporting the sales team with presentations and meetings.

YOU NEED TO BRING...
This is a recruitment call center leadership job, embedded in a scientific environment, with client facing responsibilities.
Extensive call center team leadership & line management experience is essential, but not necessarily in a clinical trials environment. We welcome applications from experienced people managers from healthcare, recruitment or other industries.
You are used to interact extensively with Top Leadership teams, so commercial acumen is critical. You are experienced talking with authority with sophisticated clients and designing solutions to customers (developing strategies, risk mitigation and contingency plans).
Qualifications
  • University/college degree (life science preferred)
