At Akari Care, we are currently in search of a Deputy Manager who is deeply dedicated to and thrives on making a substantial and positive impact on the lives of older individuals.

As a Deputy Manager, you will collaborate closely with the Home Manager and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure the efficient operation of the care home. While this role may present challenges at times, the most rewarding aspect is the genuine gratitude shown by our residents towards the team.

The responsibilities of our Deputy Managers are extensive and diverse, including overseeing exceptional nursing and residential care, maintaining open and personalized communication, managing financial aspects, and taking personal responsibility for Human Resources. Your main focus will always be on the well-being of all parties involved, by initiating innovative marketing strategies, providing guidance to colleagues for training and development, and pursuing your own growth journey.

Both personally and through team supervision, you will devote your full attention to all aspects of the care home, from handling residents' personal items to managing complex emergencies. Regardless of the situation, you will demonstrate leadership and share your knowledge to ensure that all colleagues adhere to high standards.

Requirements:
  • Minimum Level 4 NVQ in Health and Social Care
  • Experience in the healthcare sector
  • Essential management/leadership experience and desirable qualifications
  • NMC (Nursing and Midwifery) certificate with an active PIN
  • Caring nature with a personalized approach
  • Ability to adapt to changes seamlessly
  • Work well under pressure without impacting others negatively
  • Friendly, approachable, and engaging demeanor
  • Respectful treatment of others
  • Resilient and adaptable to varying needs
