Directing World-class Projects

We're growing our brilliant Portfolio Management community. Within this role you will be part of managing the demand pipeline for our portfolio - prioritising outcomes, budget, and resources.

You'll make sure there is capacity to meet the delivery plans, triggering things like recruitment activity or budget requests.

You an advisor and support to the project team, making sure we're set up right and delivery what we need to. If delivery is at risk, you'll make sure actions are in place to mitigate and enable successful delivery.

You'll help unblock issues, tackle interdependencies and manage risk.

You'll be part of a supportive community of Portfolio Managers, as well as the wider DWP Digital team. We'll invest in your skills so that you have everything you need to be a great Portfolio Manager and help us deliver for the millions of people who are relying on us.

What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?

  • Experience of stakeholder management and building good working relationships.
  • Experience of producing and maintaining reports using a range of tools.
  • Experience of analysing information to make recommendations to help enable effective delivery.
  • Knowledge of how projects are run, managed, and governed.
  • You'll need to be a good communicator and be able to see the big picture.

You'll join us in our brilliant digital hubs in Blackpool, Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, or Sheffield.

In return for your skills, we offer competitive pay of up to £36,545.
