Commercial Finance Analyst

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Premier Foods Wholesale is a leading food wholesaler supplying fresh produce, prepared & frozen goods to pubs, restaurants, hotels, airlines, events catering, food producers & cruise ships across the UK.

The role is to provide commercial support, to report and analyse performance that maximises business opportunities to deliver the divisional strategic plan. The centralisation and automation of data from core sources using appropriate modelling and consolidation tools are key. The ability to build relationships with key business stakeholders is fundamental.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support Sales & Supply Chain Manager with commercial information and analysis
Develop and produce regular periodic sales and margin reporting across a matrix structure
Analysing performance and trends in sales and margin across branches, national contracts, and independent business
Develop and produce performance statistics for field-based Sales Reps and National Account Managers
Financial evaluation of new business bids and tenders
Develop reporting to support the Procurement team
Analysing performance and trends in procurement, both centralised/locally
Identification of risks and opportunities to the divisional strategic plan
Ad hoc reporting and analysis as required

EXPERIENCE:

Experience in a similar role providing analysis and insight to key business stakeholders
Working within a faced paced environment, FMCG or food industry ideally
Proficient in working with large amounts of data across multiple systems
Proficient with ERP / CRM system
Top notch Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Presentation skills, VBA desirable
Working knowledge of BI reporting tools

Minimum part qualified accounting qualification
