Tasks

We’re seeking an enthusiastic Financial Accountant to join our rapidly growing team as we continue to onboard new clients.

You’ll work within our core team, supporting a group of Management Accountants who manage our entire portfolio. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in completing Statutory Accounts for a diverse range of clients.

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in collating, creating, and submitting accurate statutory accounts across the portfolio to relevant bodies.

Your day-to-day tasks will include preparing and submitting accurate accounts promptly at year-end to assist with tax planning, preparing Annual Accounts, Corporation Tax returns, Self-Assessments, and managing necessary maintenance and administration tasks.

You’ll also be responsible for handling client queries related to statutory accounts, ensuring clients feel informed and supported.

As you develop your skills and knowledge, there will be opportunities for you to progress into more senior positions or even take on a leadership role.

Requirements
  • Experience: You must have experience in preparing and delivering Statutory Accounts, whether in a practice or industry setting.
  • Client Interaction: You should be comfortable interacting with clients and proactive in your communications with them and other stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: It’s crucial that you’re keen to build strong relationships with stakeholders, and we’ll want to hear why this matters to you as a Financial Accountant.
  • Deadline Management: You need to be able to work to strict deadlines and should be able to discuss how you’ve managed deadlines in the past.
  • Technical Skills: You’ll have experience working with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel for accounting purposes. We’re particularly interested in your knowledge of Lookups, Pivot Tables, and other relevant formulas.
  • Adaptability: You should be quick to learn, especially with new technology and cloud software.
  • Qualifications: Whether you’re qualified by experience or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA, or AAT, we’re interested in your background.Xero Knowledge: Experience with Xero is highly desirable, but training and certification can be provided if needed.
