Mentour Pilot is the leading Aviation education channel on YouTube, with content spanning a decade and more than 350+ million lifetime views.

We specialise in sharing aviation stories, particularly incidents and crashes. Our approach is thorough and unique, offering a pilot's perspective to ensure accuracy and understanding. By shedding light on the measures, regulations, and typical procedures surrounding these events, we aim to ease viewers' fears about flying. Understanding the intricacies involved can alleviate concerns and build confidence in air travel.

Mentour Now is the sibling channel to Mentour Pilot, focusing on detailed and comprehensive coverage of aviation news and trends.

We are seeking a highly skilled and creative designer/2D animator and video editor to join our remote production team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for aviation and be familiar with aviation concepts and procedures. Also having experience in creating high-quality digital animations, and proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Premier pro, After Effects and photoshop. The designer/animator will be reporting to the Producer and responsible for creating engaging and informative videos that will help explain complex aviation concepts to a broad audience through animated visual mediums.

Tasks
  • Create visually appealing graphic assets and animations that enhance and illustrate the narrative of flight reports turned into stories.
  • Collaborate closely with the producer to understand visual requirements and ensure alignment with the overall storytelling vision.
  • Manage multiple design projects concurrently, prioritising tasks effectively to meet deadlines and maintain project momentum.
  • Maintain organised project files and documentation to ensure easy access to assets and seamless collaboration with team members.
  • Assist in the production of Mentour Pilot content to increase the quantity and variety of output, contributing to the growth and engagement of the audience.
  • Assist in the production of Mentour Now content to enhance its quality, ensuring that each piece meets the highest standards of storytelling and visual presentation.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in graphic design, animation and video editing with an emphasis on digital content creation and experience with YouTube.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premiere Pro and other related software
  • A strong understanding of YouTube and other social media platforms and how to optimise content for those platforms
  • Strong passion for aviation and storytelling, with a deep understanding of both industries.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with creative teams, responding to feedback in a timely fashion
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to quality control and editorial standards
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner
  • Optional: Having a background in business or finance is a plus, but it's not essential.
