Alpha Games is seeking a seasoned Games QA Manager to lead our Quality Assurance team in the pursuit of perfection. As the guardian of our gaming experiences, you will be pivotal in ensuring that every title we release meets the highest quality standards. Your expertise in game testing, leadership prowess, and zeal for gaming will drive our QA efforts to new heights.

Tasks
  • Champion a team of QA testers, fostering their growth and ensuring the effectiveness of testing strategies.
    - Craft and execute comprehensive QA test plans for all game projects, optimizing for coverage and efficiency.
    - Engage with production and development teams to align QA activities with game features and project objectives.
    - Manage the bug lifecycle, from detection to resolution, in close collaboration with the development team.
    - Define and track QA metrics and KPIs to gauge testing effectiveness and product quality.
    - Administer the QA budget, resources, and timelines to meet QA milestones punctually.
    - Keep abreast of the latest testing tools and industry trends to refine the QA process continually.
    - Facilitate seamless communication within the QA team and with other departments.
    - Drive the hiring, training, and development of QA personnel.
    - Uphold compliance with legal and regulatory standards pertinent to game testing and quality assurance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related discipline.
    - 5+ years in game testing, including 2+ years in a QA leadership capacity.
    - Proficient in QA methodologies, tools, and processes specific to the gaming sector.
    - Versed in a variety of gaming platforms and genres.
    - Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and project management capabilities.
    - Proven leadership skills with a history of nurturing and guiding teams.
    - Superior communication and interpersonal talents, adept at collaborating with diverse teams.
    - Knowledgeable in bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
    - A fervent gamer dedicated to delivering quality.
