Overview
A multinational commodity trading and mining company is seeking an experienced Change Governance & Transformation Manager.
The purpose of this role is to support the Co-Head of Surveillance in managing the change & transformation agenda so that programmes and projects are set up, tracked and managed in a way which gives confidence to the Head of Market Conduct and the Global Head of Compliance as well as other key stakeholders.
Primary responsibilities will include delivery of concise written communications which articulate both the risks and benefits across the Surveillance change portfolio. Written and verbal updates will be provided to the Surveillance, Market Conduct and Regulatory Compliance leadership teams as well as up to and including the C-Suite.
As the Change Governance & Transformation Manager you will have responsibility for the delivery of the newly established Change Delivery Management Forum as well as playing a lead role in supporting the establishment of the Production Issues Management Forum.
You will be passionate about your role and motivated to provide clear written and verbal communication on the Surveillance change and Transformation agenda ensuring both risks and benefits are clearly documented and recorded in appropriate reporting repositories.
You will also contribute to the delivery of the operating model, e.g. Governance and oversight mechanisms, communications cadence and providing secretariat support to the Co-Head of Surveillance for other Governance initiatives.
The Change Governance & Transformation role is an exciting role, offering variety and the opportunity to join a dynamic, fast paced working environment.
This role will form part of the Group Compliance team and will report directly to the Co-Head of Surveillance.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience
- Proven track record of delivering projects and programmes within the Financial Services and preferably within Surveillance.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies with a proven ability to effectively implement them in practice.
- Proven track record of providing regular written communication to leadership teams which articulate both risks and benefits in any programmatic updates.
- Experience of working in dynamic environments and ability to make informed prioritisation calls.
- A high-level understanding of Market Abuse risks and how they apply and materialise within a Surveillance context would be beneficial although not essential.
Person Specification
- Experience of leading and driving change and transformation – preferably within a Commodities or Banking environment
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong planning skills with a track record of embedding sustainable Governance operating models
- Strong understanding of change management principles and methodologies.
- Experience of working with global stakeholders is a plus
