Its the curiosity dedication and innovation that drive our success and help us anticipate the future.Position Overview: The Trade Compliance Manager- UK is responsible for implementing monitoring and advancing all aspects of the UK & EU export control and trade compliance program with a primary focus on UK export regulations and sanctions. This role ensures Entrusts full adherence to applicable UK laws including ECJU & HMRCwhile maintaining a strong understanding of global trade compliance principles. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader actively engaged in daily export compliance operations while applying a strategic risk-based approach to optimizing processes and minimizing regulatory exposure across international markets. This position reports to the Director Global Trade Compliance.Responsibilities:The following represent the key responsibilities of the role as they exist today. This role may expand to include responsibilities that may be new to the Trade Compliance Manager.Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding UK & EU export compliance activitiesServe as Entrusts liaison with HMRC and ECJU as neededManage UK & EU export classification of hardware software and technologyContinuously review and validate export classifications used by EntrustOversee the export licensing process including license requirement determinations submission preparation and license monitoring along with implementation of necessary follow-up controlsSupport daily export compliance activities including the review and release of systematic compliance blocks (e.g. export permit holds SPS screening KYC requests) in collaboration with Trade Compliance SpecialistsLead the implementation of new procedures and internal training programs related to UK & EU export compliance and sanctions in coordination with the Director Global Trade Compliance and the U.S. Trade Compliance ManagerLead and support internal and external audits and compliance reviews including export filing audits freight forwarder reviews and partner due diligence assessmentsMonitor and assess proposed regulatory changes communicate their impact and recommend risk mitigation strategiesTrack changes in UK & EU export control laws and sanctions ensuring alignment with the global trade compliance teamMaintain and implement UK & EU trade compliance policies and procedures in accordance with evolving global requirements local regulations and corporate standardsCollaborate cross-functionally with global and regional teams to achieve trade compliance objectivesDevelop trade compliance performance metrics in partnership with the Director Global Trade Compliance and the U.S. Trade Compliance ManagerOther duties as assignedBasic Qualifications:Bachelors degrees in related/relevant field8 years experience in trade complianceMust be able to lawfully work within the jurisdiction where the colleague residesPreferred Qualifications:Exceptional attention to detailStrong written verbal and interpersonal communication skillsProven problem-solving and critical thinking abilitiesAbility to engage and communicate effectively across all organizational levelsExperience drafting and implementing proceduresKnowledge of Change Management PrinciplesAbility to interpret and apply evolving regulationsTeam-oriented with sound judgment and leadership capabilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities under pressureProficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel Word)Experience with OracleWillingness to travel as neededGlobal mindset with global experience preferably in Canada and U.SAt Entrust we dont just offer jobs we offer career journeys.
