As a Technical Lead, you will play a pivotal role in a dynamic team within the IT team. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from a number of different teams. Our client is committed to continuously evolving their ways of working, leveraging new technology to transform interactions with customers, suppliers, and partners. As an IT Technical Lead, you will be instrumental in driving this digitalisation and simplification journey by engaging in cutting-edge projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of a wide range of IT services, working collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders throughout the project delivery lifecycle.
- Act as an IT consultant, collaborating with other IT, business, and third-party stakeholders to provide ongoing support for IT services.
- Work closely with technology specialists across a broader IT network.
- Participate in training programs to enhance your career and personal skill set.
Daily Activities:
- Support a variety of platforms and applications, IT security, governance, and hardware.
- Handle interactions with staff at all levels, from junior employees to the CEO.
- Cross-train in team specialisms and perform most team functions, including an on-call weekend rotation approximately every 8 weeks.
- Provide project consultancy, offering technical guidance on IT security, IT governance, and application support.
- Contribute to scheme attestations, regulator surveys, and the maintenance of ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials certification.
- Maintain a high level of technical knowledge to effectively manage internal and external relationships.
Essential Skills and Expertise:
- Experience with IT platforms (Windows, Linux, Openshift, and AWS).
- Experience in application delivery within the IT development lifecycle.
- Evidence of working within an agile framework.
- Prior experience in assessing IT risk and security implications of new or enhanced solutions.
- Experience with cloud-based technologies and working within a DevOps environment is highly advantageous.
