The successful candidate will be responsible for the accurate management and operation of the client account, becoming a vital member of our esteemed legal practice.

Day to Day of the role:

Managing incoming and outgoing electronic client account transactions

• Posting of client to office transfers and client to client transfers

• Posting of client account interest

• Sending of electronic payments

• Posting of disbursements and write offs

• Bank statement reconciliations

• Logging all cheques received onto an excel spreadsheet and posting

• Posting and paying counsel’s fee notes onto the purchase ledger system

• Processing staff expenses

• Supervise and train junior legal cashier

• Helping with matter ledger enquiries

• Ad hoc duties

• Processing of bills. Will be trained on this if needed.

• Desired but not essential skills:

Posting of office overheads and credit cards

Essential Requirements:

• Strong knowledge and experience on the client accounts side.

• High level accuracy and attention to detail.

• In depth knowledge of Solicitor's Accounts Rules. •

Have solid experience in a Legal Cashiering role within a Legal Firm.

• Works exceptionally well under pressure.

• Outstanding organisational skills.

• Excellent Legal specific finance systems knowledge – P4W (Partner for Windows) preferred.

• Ability to work with a wide range of individuals in a professional and friendly manner Personal Attributes:

• Excellent written and spoken English, including spelling and grammar.
