Overview

Quantity Surveyor - North East


Company

Multi-national organisation which operates as a service provider to help a wide ranging client base achieve net zero goals, focussed within the industrial, digital and energy transformation sectors. Within the North East, a well established business division engages with registered housing providers and local authorities to upgrade public and residential buildings.


Role

A Quantity Surveyor is required to join the local business as part of the project delivery team, to run projects commercially and ensure effective cost reporting. Paired with a Project Manager, responsibilities will be typical for a QS, to include subcontractor procurement and management, valuations and variations, forecasting and account closure.


This is a flexible role which allows for hybrid working between the main office, sites and home. The position reports to a Commercial Manager and forms part of a local team delivering on local projects. Client interaction and project team integration form part of the expectations of this role.


Experience Required

Applicants must have quantity surveying experience, ideally involved with refurbishment projects, although building or maintenance projects knowledge will also be considered relevant. Knowledge of the North East market and supply chain will be advantageous.


Remuneration

Salary will vary depending on experience brought to the role, rangng between £40,000 and £60,000 per annum, plus car allowance, pension and holidays.
