Elevation Recruitment Group have recently partnered with a globally leading manufacturer of Cards in the search Head of Planning, a pivotal role for the business. You will be responsible for the delivery of all key financial KPI's across the business. In this customer facing position, you will develop, maintain and contribute to profitable business plan across all product areas. You will be responsible and accountable for a team of Planners (Merchandise) to ensure all correct information is available to the intended individual and the intended time.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all factors, both internal and external are identified with clear contingency plans.
  • Lead Goods Issue and EPOS (Electric Point Of Sale) planning for large multi million-billion pound turnover businesses, and long standing customers.
  • Drive trading activity by the evaluation of KPI's across the planning teams.
  • Use financial analysing techniques to generate and deliver on strategic business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Head of Commercial to define the Joint Business Plan with a customer focus.
  • The Head of Merchandising would drive efficiencies and increase productivity, improve ways of working and increase profit.


To be considered/successful at the interview stages, you will need:

  • Demonstratable experience of working in a Retail/FMCG Merchandising Planning environment
  • Experience with Excel
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills across multiple business functions
  • Confidence in adjusting approach to match specific audiences
  • Superior Data, Insight and Communicational skills
  • A natural leader with experience managing small but effective teams within Planning
  • A excellent understanding of the Retail/FMCG sector.
