Exciting Head of Finance opportunity with a large manufacturing business. We are looking for a qualified accountant with manufacturing experience and also has been involved in a large ERP implementation.


Summary of position:

Run a robust, strong, financial reporting and analysis system.

Business Reporting & Management Accounting

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual finance reports

Organise, prepare and report annual budgets

Analyse expenditure versus budget and make proposals for improved financial performance

Implementation of ERP system

Audit & Assurance

Manage day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accounting records maintained appropriately

Making sure reporting meets compliant standards with law and financial regulations Governance, Risk and Control

Evaluates all internal structures and governance to protect interests of stakeholders

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop budgets that meet the requirements of company departments.

Perform regular financial analysis and production of KPI metrics to challenge business performance and prepare detailed reports on the company's financial performance

Responsibility to ensure risk management is considered and implemented across all areas.

Supervise all audit, third party communication and internal control processes across the Group

Recognise patterns in company spending, revenue, and recommend solutions to any problem areas

Develop process and rigorous financial control procedures aligning with Group policies

Undertake ad-hoc business projects as and when required

Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s strategy and proactively challenge the management team when performance is not aligned

Experience:

Some prior experience in manufacturing environment.

Understanding of internal controls requirements

Technical accounting experience

Excellent coaching and mentoring skills

Ability to influence others at all levels within the organisation

Eager to assist in the continuous improvement of the organisation

Ability to promote, embrace and manage change

Self-starter with a positive attitude
