Head of Educational Innovation

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Head of Educational Innovation. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of our alternative education model, working closely with our senior leadership team to design and implement innovative approaches to learning.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Development of Alternative Education Model: Design and implement a comprehensive alternative education model that meets the needs of students who are unable to access traditional educational settings.
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team: Work closely with our senior leadership team to develop and implement innovative approaches to learning, including online and face-to-face teaching.
- Recruit and Support Tutors: Assist the Headteacher in recruiting and supporting tutors who will deliver our alternative education model.
- Design Bespoke Curriculum: Design a bespoke curriculum that meets the individual needs of our students, incorporating online learning and face-to-face teaching where appropriate.
- Develop PSHE SEND Curriculum: Lead the development of the PSHE SEND curriculum, ensuring that it is embedded across our organization where necessary.
- Act as Lead Practitioner: Act as a lead practitioner for our organization, offering support and guidance to PSHE teachers across our schools.
- Improve Quality of Education: Work with our Headteachers to improve the quality of education across all of our schools.
- Support Students with SEND: Support students with special educational needs and disabilities, including designing a bespoke timetable to meet their needs.
- Ensure Comprehensive Safeguarding: Work with our specialist safeguarding advisors to ensure comprehensive safeguarding and personal development plans are in place for all students.
- Expertise in PSHE Curriculum: Have expertise in the PSHE curriculum across primary and secondary education.
- Experience Supporting Students with SEND: Have extensive experience supporting students with special educational needs and disabilities.
- Qualified Teacher: Be a qualified teacher holding QTS or QTLS.
- Leadership Experience: Have experience working in senior leadership teams, preferably in an educational setting.
- Safeguarding Knowledge: Have extensive knowledge of safeguarding and the appropriate channels of support within local authorities.
