Are you a HGV Technician or a test engineer looking for a new exciting opportunity? The client I am recruiting for is currently looking for various HGV technicians and/or test engineers who have the ability to repair and service a fleet of Vehicles to a high standard. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a fresh challenge with a dynamic and rapidly growing company. Ideally you will have time served in both mechanical and electrical maintenance of HGVs.This opportunity is Monday to Friday working 37.5 hours per week with a competitive salary.Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles (HGVs)- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with HGVs- Conduct inspections and identify any potential problems or safety concerns- Repair or replace faulty components, such as engines, transmissions, and brakes- Follow manufacturer's guidelines and specifications for repairs and maintenance- Keep accurate records of all work performed- Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries and concernsQualifications:- Previous experience as an HGV Technician or in a similar role- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of HGV systems- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and technical manuals- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and equipment for repairs and maintenance- Welding experience is a plus- Forklift operation experience is preferred- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail- Strong customer service skillsNote: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
