The salary for this role is 42858 (inclusive of a Specialist Allowance - 3000). Onsite working is expected for 4 days a week however we actively support requests for flexible working. This role can be based at Culham Oxfordshire.This role requires employees to complete an online Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) including The Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks for criminal convictions and possibly a search of open source data. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to support the Electrical Services this role you will provide vital engineering expertise to ensure the effective operation maintenance and improvement of the Culham sites power supply infrastructure and low-voltage control systems all while ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.You will be responsible for leading small to medium-sized projects involving complex high and low voltage electrical equipment including minor installations system modifications technical assessments and the preparation of supporting documentation. Additionally you will carry out fault-finding on electrical systems and ensure that all proposed solutions are technically sound and reliable. The role requires a high level of competency including the ability to supervise work on electrical systems and maintain a strong focus on safety and performance.If you can demonstrate the ability to work safely in accordance with written safe systems of work effectively solve problems and prioritise tasks to manage your workload efficiently then we would like to hear from you.Additional Responsibilities: Lead specific work undertaken by the Electrical Services Group and all associated documentation. Ensure it follows current legislation and codes of practice and delivered safely and effectively.Take full ownership of relevant work packages ensuring all technical criteria are satisfied and that work can be carried out in a safe and cost-effective manner.Take responsibility for design specification procurement installation commissioning and maintenance of assigned electrical systems.Preparation of engineering procedures risk assessments method statements and local rules in support of the Electrical Services Groups requirements.Interpret supplier requirements and submit related documentation for review and approval considering costs are controlled within Group budgetary constraints.Provide assurance by calculation analysis and review of existing electrical switchgear and cabling.Act as Owner and be responsible for items of plant/equipment at the individual item or sub-system level.Responsible for the planning of the maintenance plan and agreeing the schedule with appropriate operations and seamlessly integrate maintenance plans and schedules into the CMMS leveraging the system to optimize workflow management and resource allocation.Provide guidance and support to team members on CMMS utilization and maintenance planning processes fostering skill development and proficiency.Integrate planned maintenance activities with reactive or corrective maintenance arising from breakdowns or faults ensuring effective resolution of issues.Provide advice on the electrical design of equipment to ensure compliance with legislation and codes of practice consulting with a Subject Matter Expert (SAP(E)) as needed.Qualifications : Qualified electrician with an electrical craft apprenticeship or an HNC in an electrical disciplineBS7671 18th Edition passCity & Guilds 2395 or equivalent (Testing & Inspection)Significant work experience as an electrician in an industrial/commercial environmentSupervisory and leadership experienceAdditional Information : A full list of our benefits can be found here mission is clean energy for all and we welcome talented people from all backgrounds who want to help us achieve our mission.
