AJ Chambers is representing a Leading Regional Law Firm who are seeking an Assistant / Paralegal to join the Residential Conveyancing department in their Basildon office.


You will work alongside a successful team of Fee Earners in a busy and varied role. You will work in a friendly team with a reputation for providing excellent client care.


Responsibilities and duties:


Under supervision, you will be expected to carry out legal tasks including drafting legal documentation and correspondence, preparation of SDLT & Land Registry forms and liaising directly with clients.

The roles also include time recording and assisting the fee earners within the department in relation to administration tasks.

The successful candidates will be expected to have a good level of knowledge and experience working as an assistant/paralegal within this area of law.

It is essential that applicants also have excellent client care and inter-personal skills, the ability to work efficiently and accurately together with good software skills including a sound knowledge of electronic legal forms.

You will also provide typing support, in addition to legal support, to the department.
