The Murphy Geospatial and Woolpert union enables numerous career growth and training opportunities within the business.SummaryWe are currently recruiting a Geospatial Consultant to join our Birmingham Department in the Sales & Estimating Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a Geospatial background looking to widen their experience within the expeditious Geospatial industry. This role is to provide commercial assistance & sales support to the department managers but also assisting the wider MGS commercial team in their tender preparations to ensure client requirements are met to a high standard and their expectations. The successful applicant will be reporting to the Sales Manager and Head of Department.Key ResponsibilitiesReviewing understanding & requesting further information or clarifications on tender scope documentsUnderstanding of all MGS offerings with ability to recognise further service opportunitiesTaking ownership of client feedback process to incorporate into process improvementsValidating and Controlling project scope Quality Management Risk Management as well as plan out stakeholder engagement.Reviewing and optimising estimated workflows for each service proposalCompiling and managing tenders and quotations.Reviewing Weekly Operation Status report and create lessons learnedTechnical expertise on project matters relating to spatial data differentiating roles accordinglyEnsuring compliance with all current regulations and internal policies on sales proposalsPromoting a safety culture and ensuring any learnings from near misses or accidents are pre-empted or prevented going forwardClient relationship Management SupportConsulting with client Representatives maintaining & earning trust of clients through our expertise and knowledgeEnsuring alignment with MGS Vision and Values Respect Innovation Community and IntegritySupporting and implementation of our Geo-Cert PlatformEnsuring Client expectations are met with MGS validated output and careConsulting and supporting clients on Geospatial best practice and MethodologyProviding leadership to clients staff and department in technology and technical related questionsDiscovering and implementing innovative technologies that yield competitive advantageEvaluating and implementing new workflows; Help department use technology profitablyFacilitating business growth by collaborating with clients as well as business partners (suppliers subcontractors JV partners technology providers etc.) RequirementsGeomatics or Civil Engineering degree level preferred.A minimum of 3 years experience in the geospatial/surveying industry.Able to comply with deadlines and delivery datesAbility to communicate technical information effectively.Commercially savvy with an understanding of financials and deadlines.Possess a full clean UK driving licence (manual transmission).The right to work in the UK.Skills that enable collaboration and communication including the use of Microsoft Office & AutoCAD suitesKey CompetenciesCustomer FocusPassion for the Geospatial IndustryInterpersonal SkillsTime and Priority ManagementSelf-Starting and willing to learnInnovative & technically awareMembership of RICS or CICES an advantageKey AttributesTechnical excellence and attention to detailLeadership and team developmentProject and time managementProblem-solving and innovationClient-focused communicationStrong understanding of geospatial technologies and data managementTo Apply: Send your CV along with your Cover Letter to the Murphy Geospatial Talent Team: Required Experience:Senior Manager Key Skills Sales Experience,Direct Sales,Hyperion,Financial Services,Financial Concepts,Banking,Oracle EBS,Securities Law,Peoplesoft,Oracle,Financial Management,Workday Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
