Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with a strong background in the banking domain and a proven track record in payments projects, including SEPA/BACS/CHAPS/SWIFT. The ideal candidate will facilitate agile practices within cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions, enhance team performance, and drive continuous improvement.


Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Agile Processes: Lead and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. Ensure adherence to Agile practices and principles.
  • Project Management: Manage the sprint backlog, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones. Assist in defining and prioritizing product backlogs with product owners.
  • Team Support: Foster a collaborative and productive team environment. Address and resolve any team impediments and conflicts. Provide coaching to team members on Agile methodologies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between development teams and stakeholders. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement within the Agile framework. Implement best practices to optimize team performance and project outcomes.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of Agile ceremonies, backlog items, and progress metrics. Prepare and present reports on team performance and project status.


Requirements/Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and Scrum practices. Familiarity with banking and payments systems, including SEPA, BACS, CHAPS, and SWIFT.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Proficiency with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar project management software. Knowledge of development and deployment tools is a plus.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and payment processing standards.
