Responsibilities:


  • Break down barriers and shield the team from disruptors
  • Organize and facilitate agile events and build an environment in which the team is continuously inspecting and adapting
  • Coach the team, partners, and leadership to adopt an agile mindset
  • Help the team to identify and resolve impediments
  • Inspire clear communication and transparency across all the work we do
  • Facilitate decision-making and build trust in and around the team
  • Work with other scrum masters in a SAFe framework to ensure successful teamwork across the enterprise
  • Leading integrated teams to deliver solutions in support of key product initiatives by working closely with product managers, scrum masters, architects, developers, and QA teams
  • Working within and across business units to prioritize, plan, and execute the Technology development schedule for major product releases
  • Handling and tracking status, progress, and other critical metrics in relation to the plan and publishes progress reports to senior partners
  • Assigning development resources to activities and monitoring progress and performance across resource channels
  • Maintaining release and dependency plans across American Express development teams, external partners and third parties
  • Actively identifying, managing, and raising risks, issues, and changes tied to the product development initiatives
  • Applying discretion on when to raise issues versus work through issues with the team
  • Resolving impediments precluding teams from making progress against plans and deadlines
  • Ensuring deliverables across Technology teams are high-quality and clearly documented



Required Skills:


  • Proven experience as an Agile team coach or scrum master, working with cross-functional teams, and desirable to have appropriate certification.
  • Strong knowledge of agile principles and practices and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and changing environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaboration and facilitation abilities.
  • Demonstrated Project Management experience.
