Main Purpose of the Job

​

To become part of a team producing peptides and peptidomimetics at Biosynth Laboratories Ltd – supplier of custom peptides to the research community in both Pharma and Academia.

​

Role and Responsibilities

​

• Preparation of reagents
• Synthesis of custom peptides-based products (automated and/or manually) using solid and solution phase on mg to g scales
• Post-synthesis modifications (routine solid-phase operations, solution phase chemistry)
• Cleavage of peptides
• Analysis of crude or in-process by RP-HPLC and Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS)

You must be able to handle several projects and multi-task, ensure prioritization and timely execution of the projects. Should be enthusiastic, very organised and detail orientated

Requirements

• BSc or MSc degree in organic chemistry or equivalent (This role could suit a recent graduate)
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong trouble-shooting skills
