My client is seeking an Assistant  Management Accountant to provide essential support in creating management accounts and delivering key financial information within the FMCG sector. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is AAT qualified or has a relevant degree and is ideally working towards a CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualification. This role can offer hybrid working after the probation period (6 months)

Day to Day of the role:

  • Monthly creation and reconciliation of trial balances.
  • Resolve discrepancies arising from GL account reconciliations in a timely manner.
  • Daily posting and reconciliation of bank accounts.
  • Prepare and publish monthly group BSC, variance analysis reports, and other KPI reports.
  • Manage petty cash analysis, reconciliation, and posting monthly, including vending machines.
  • Submit monthly statutory returns as required, including VAT.
  • Reconcile PayPal accounts for web sales and oversee monthly reconciliation of clearance accounts.
  • Check staff expenses for validity and VAT promptly.
  • Participate in ad hoc projects as required by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • AAT qualified or relevant Degree, ideally studying towards CIMA/ACA/ACCA.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a finance function.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting processes and procedures.
  • Proficiency with SAP, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
  • Good numeric and literacy skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of the distribution and FMCG business sector.
